Nursing and medical care is planned to meet each individual patient?s needs and is regularly evaluated to ensure that all EllenorLions patients receive the highest quality and most appropriate care across all settings: in the hospice?s inpatient or day therapy units; at home or nursing/care home; in hospital; or as outpatients.

The Director of Nursing and Care leads our care teams, working closely with the Medical Director who leads the EllenorLions Hospices team of doctors, all of whom have a specialised interest in palliative care. All our nursing staff have undergone extra training in palliative care.

Our care teams work closely with all external healthcare and social care professionals to ensure that patients receive a seamless service.

We also rely heavily on our many committed volunteers who help directly in the provision of care and by helping patients in a variety of practical ways.
