The day therapy unit has daily sessions, held at the EllenorLions Hospice in Northfleet, Mondays to Thursdays from 10am until 3pm. The timing of each patient?s visit can, of course, be flexible within these hours to suit energy levels and other commitments. The sessions aim to improve quality of life for patients and promote support for their families. Attendance is voluntary, with appointments available to assess and review needs.

We provide individual patient care, which can include medical treatment and complementary therapies. There is a friendly team of dedicated staff aim to help patients maximise their energy and overcome their concerns.

The building is modern, light and airy with a large open area at its centre known as ?The Green? which can be a lively, busy space. Recently extended and refurbished, it has a coffee shop, a separate dining area and a Sacred Space which is always open and available to all.

Patients can enjoy a relaxing garden, with raised flower beds and easy access; together with a lunch of freshly cooked food, offering plenty of choice, with portion sizes to suit. (Special dietary needs are met including cultural, physical and a range of pureed food). There is even a pre-lunch drink as an appetiser!

Staff and volunteers help with social and craft activities in a safe relaxing environment allowing patients to be themselves, and giving their families a short break.

We also offer short term places for 6-weeks with an emphasis on rehabilitation and coping strategies.

Our staff will phone once we have received a referral form to arrange the first appointment. Patients are welcome to drive themselves, or our volunteer drivers are always available to pick up and take home.
